FAQ

The virtual reality (VR) experience requires at least 4 Mbps of internet upload and 8 Mbps download to function.

To participate in avatar mode you will need access to a VR headset, PC desktop/laptop or Mac desktop/laptop. 

Please check whether your VR device is supported by our VR platform AltspaceVR before claiming your ticket.

No, you do not! If you have a PC or Mac computer, you can still participate in YOUNGA’s interactive, virtual experience using 2D avatar mode. Please check the technical requirements to confirm specifications and bandwidth needs.

Similar to a first-person gamer view, you will be able to move around the YOUNGA worlds with your avatar and network with fellow attendees.

Since all attendees in-world appear as avatars, others cannot tell the difference between those who have VR headsets and those who are participating via a PC or Mac computer.

The main difference is the sensory experience—headsets will expand the spatial awareness and immersive effect.

If you do not want to participate in avatar mode and interact with other attendees, you can also watch our live stream as a regular viewer.

YOUNGA’s Global Broadcast program will be available to watch on Apple TV through the KNEKT TV app as well as on IOS devices via social streaming sites such as Facebook Live.

Our VR After Party and live filming of Pitbull’s mixed reality music vide will be hosted on AltspaceVR which has a Mac pilot for IOS users with a Mac desktops/laptop to participate in 2D avatar mode.

Both, the 2020 YOUNGA Forum VR spectacular and our limited edition content library are in English. We acknowledge language can be a barrier to participation and aim to prioritize a multi-lingual program for 2021. If you have any partner recommendations to assist with translation, we invite you to please contact us.
A core objective of YOUNGA is to provide accessible and inclusive experiences. There is no cost to participate. You can download AltspaceVR and create an account for free. Due to room capacity limits, spaces for this experience are limited. They will be filled on a first come basis so it is recommended you save your seat sooner rather than later.

Our mission with YOUNGA is to create an inclusive and accessible platform for tomorrow and today’s leaders to unite and co-create solutions for a better future.

Through our 2020 Youth Delegate program, we have upskilled over 1500 youth delegates across 114 countries, nominated by youth-serving organizations and charity partners, providing free access to 40 hours of leadership and advocacy training and guided mentorship sessions with high-level decision-makers. The four-week delegate program is free and open to all young people under the age of 30, from anywhere in the world, to advance their personal and professional growth while overcoming access barriers to education and innovation resources. Members of our 2020 youth delegation represent diverse lived experiences including underrepresented voices such as women, Indigenous Peoples, visible minorities, persons with disabilities and refugees. When you pay it forward, it enables us to continue to deliver free, accessible skills training and career development programs for emerging talent to become future-ready.
